The CCR2216 Flagship Router!
MikroTik entered the realm of 100G connectivity a few months ago with a flagship Ethernet router, the CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ, that surpassed some of its strongest hardware to date.
With a 2 GHz 16-core ARM 64-bit CPU, a DDR4 RAM of 16 GB, and a pair of M.2 slots that allow the increase of local storage, the CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ will most certainly set new performance records. This formidable piece of hardware can take you on an exciting 100 Gigabit networking journey! It comes with 12 25G SFP28 ports and a pair of 100G QSFP28 ports.
Moreover, with a Marvell Prestera Aldrin2 switch-chip that provides four 25G lines, this router takes L3 Hardware Offloading to new heights, and consequently, improves its performance and speed against some of MikroTik’s strongest and most capable routers such as the favorite CCR1072!
It is obvious that MikroTik is expanding its family of 100G hardware, and what better way to launch a new switch that goes together with your capable router?
The CRS504-4XQ-IN is a matching switch for the aforementioned CCR2216. With four QSFP28 ports, this device is a perfect Cloud Switch for rapidly transmitting high-volume traffic. It runs on a single-core MIPSBE 650 MHz CPU and a 64 MB RAM.
With the CRS504, the possibilities are endless. Each QSFP28 port on this device is connected to four 25G lines, allowing you to connect a maximum of 16 25G devices. Simply let your imagination run wild and think of the mix-and-match options! For instance, you can have 100G on one port, 40G on the other, four 25G devices on the third QSFP28, and maybe even some 10G or 1G cables on the fourth.
MikroTik has also turned its attention to heavy-duty, enterprise-level performance with an 18-port Cloud Router Switch designed to fulfill big data and heavy traffic needs for data centers, enterprise networks, etc.
1.2 Tbps switching capacity! No kidding! Meet the CRS518-16XS-2XQ!
With two 100 Gigabit QSFP28 ports and 16 25G SFP28 ports - not to mention the dual-redundant hot-swappable power supplies and fans - the CRS518-16XS-2XQ is created to handle numerous tasks with the highest level of performance, including VLAN (802.1Q, 802.1ad), ACL, LACP, MLAG, Jumbo frames, and IGMP/MLD snooping, as well as L3 hardware offloaded routing thanks to its Marvell Prestera Aldrin2 switch-chip.
Though all the three devices above are highly efficient and capable in their base form, they still have a great deal of potential that can be unleashed by using device-compatible interfaces.
These two interfaces are suitable for 100G network setups, each offering four independent full-duplex channels with up to 25 Gbps per channel bandwidth and an aggregate bandwidth of 100 Gbps with built-in digital diagnostic options.
The XQ+31LC02D works in distances up to 2 kilometers, and the XQ+85MP01D has been designed for distances up to 100 meters.
